The San Siro Stadium Milan is regarded,
architecturally speaking, as the finest football stadium
in Italy and Europe. It's concentric design, steep towering
sides and playing surface combine to produce one of the
most fabulous sporing arena's the world has ever seen. There
is a plan in 2005 to build another anello or ring to increase
the stadium capacity from 85000 people to 110.000 making
it Europe's largest stadium. The only obstacle would be
the sparse amount of sunshine that the pitch would receive
- solution: put the pitch on rollers and during the day
when not in use wheel it out underneath the stadium so it
can bask in the Italian sunshine. For directions on how
to reach the San Siro Milan please ask the Concierge at
the Ibis Hotel Centro Milan who will only be too happy to
help you. |
